Fun Facts About Harry Potter
Since June 30, 1997, when the release of the first novel in author J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, the books have enjoyed unprecendented popularity and critical acclaim worldwide. The seven books have also had some share of criticism, mostly citing concern for the increasingly dark tone of the novels as they progress through the troubled but adventurous life of a boy wizard orphaned as an infant following the murder of his parents by a dark wizard. As of the summer of 2011, the series has sold over 450 million copies and has been translated into 67 languages. If you are a fan of the series, you probably know quite a bit about the books, characters, plotline, and the author herself.
